The CONNSTEP small business appreciation tour recently made a stop at TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik in South Windsor. Telefunken President Toni Fishman, Production Manager Tom Hickey, and Stella the dog welcomed CONNSTEP Business Development Advisors Paul Aiello and Prakaithip Romanow to their manufacturing facility. Over two decades ago, TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik revived one of the world’s most coveted vintage vacuum tube-based microphone brands - The Diamond Series. This series comprises meticulously recreated historic versions of some of the most sought-after microphones ever produced. Featuring three primary microphone models, the Diamond Series captures and enhances the sonic nuances of popular music spanning from the 1940s to the present day. As the company releases new microphone models designed for a new generation of sound engineers and musicians, Telefunken applies contemporary manufacturing techniques with their in-depth knowledge and understanding of iconic vintage microphone design and audio quality. A notable departure from the historically accurate Diamond Series is the incorporation of circuit boards and standardized metalwork, which significantly reduces overall costs without compromising sound fidelity. 📰 Fun Fact: An intriguing aspect of Telefunken’s manufacturing facility is the presence of a soundstage, serving not only as a testing ground for their products but also as a fully functional recording studio utilized by various musical acts. Renowned artists such as Keith Urban, John Mayer, Peter Gabriel, Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keys, Phish, and many other musicians and sound engineers have utilized this space for recording sessions, album production, and even live performances.
